Hairdressing Certificate Program

Certificate 3 in Hairdressing RPL

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is the process for recognising previous learning that has taken place in the workplace and through life experiences.

What you need to do:

  • Identify the units that you can complete via RPL and units you require training and/or assessment in. At least one unit must be completed via Gap Training to be eligible for this program.

  • Create your Evidence Portfolio showcasing Skills, Styling and Technique.

  • Competency Assessment to certify your skills.

  • Complete any gap units that can’t be covered through RPL through training that are required to meet qualification.

Once you have completed your portfolio and competency assessment the team will advise the units needed to get certified and this is all you need to complete and pay for to meet your certification in Hairdressing.

How do I start?

Register your interest with our Student Support team. They will discuss the process with you and then get you started on the tasks you need to complete for the RPL process.

Course Investment: from $50

Eligible QLD professionals can get your qualification from as little as $50* through the TSAGT Program. Participants are required to contribute to the cost of their gap training (only the unit/s that they are require training for).

Trade Skills Assessment and Gap Training (TSAGT) Program is a Qld Government program designed to enable individuals who already have substantial skills, knowledge and experience in the Hairdressing or Barbering industry but do not hold a nationally recognised qualification in the trade to obtain their qualification.
